Biology is the study of life. This is a required course for all Colorado High School students. The class will focus on t

Biology is an experimental science. It is the study of life and living organisms. Throughout the school year we will investigate and experiment all aspects of Biology.  We will primarily use the Solomon Berg  Biology book. These will be classroom use only as there are a limited number of books. Supplemental material will be in the form of handouts and/or internet homework. Each student will be issued an access number to be able to use the online portion of this course. This is a new feature and will enhance the students learning!
Students will be required to have and maintain a Biology notebook. Biology is an emerging Science. It is very dynamic and the students will learn information and skills they will use for the rest of their lives.

This notebook will contain all vocabulary, graded homework,hand outs, worksheets, tests, test correctionsThere is a textbook  for classroom use. Students will be   given  powerpoint handouts, workbook pages, and online assignmentsand laboratory class. Students will be expected to participate in classroom activities, complete homework, and laboratory assignments.

Extra Credit and Test corrections
Once a semester students have an opportunity to receive extra credit. They are given four privilege passes at the beginning of the first semester. These are each worth 10 points. If they do not use them for forgiveness points they can turn them in at the final week of the semester for extra credit. See the syllabus for details.
Start the year off right.
Students will need to turn in their signed syllabus by Friday August 19, 2016. This will be their first grade in the grade book.
